A man who thought he was a ‘Sith Lord’ and broke into Windsor Castle grounds to kill Queen Elizabeth II has been sentenced to nine years in custody. Jaswant Singh Chail, 21, was arrested by police officers on Christmas Day 2021. He was carrying a loaded crossbow and a metal ‘Sith Lord’ mask he’d had manufactured in preparation for the assassination attempt. Chail also apparently had an AI chatbot ‘girlfriend’ who encouraged him to commit the offence. Justice Hilliard, overseeing the sentencing, accepted that mental health and an Autism Spectrum Disorder affected Chail’s actions, but he still bore responsibility for the crime. Jaswant Singh Chail pled guilty to the offence of treason. He is the first person in the UK to be convicted of treason since 1981. #treason #royal #starwars Subscribe here: http://bit.ly/ODNsubs TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ondemandnews Twitter: https://twitter.com/ODN Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ODN/ If you wish to purchase any of our clips for commercial use, please visit: http://www.itnproductions.co.uk/news/
