'Breaking: Four Children Hospitalised After Knife Attack in France' Four children are among six victims of a knife attack in the town of Annecy in the French Alps. Two children under three and an adult are in critical condition in hospital. At around 9am, a man entered a playground and attacked a group of children with a knife. Two of the children were French, one Dutch and one British. The attacker is reported to be a 31-year-old Syrian man with refugee status in Sweden. He apparently has no known links to Islamist groups, and his motivation is unknown. The man was shot by police and is now in custody.
