Life could be hiding beneath the surface of Saturn’s icy moon. Nearly six years after NASA’s Cassini spacecraft probe crashed into Saturn, scientists found buried in archival data the detection of life-giving element phosphate in an ocean on the moon Enceladus. This is the first time phosphate has been discovered in an ocean not on Earth. This discovery was published by the journal Nature.
