Coalition ‘put their head in the sand’ over importance of critical minerals

Resources Minister Madeleine King has accused the Coalition of “putting their heads in the sand” while in government over the link between growing Australia’s critical minerals sector and reaching net-zero targets. “It is absolutely astonishing the depth to which the Liberals and Nationals were willing to put their heads in the sand, while they were government, and ignore the obvious connection between critical minerals and reaching net zero,” she said during Question Time on Tuesday.
