Mitch McConnell: Capitol Doctor Says No Evidence of Stroke or Seizure

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has played down his recent health episodes in his first public comment on the matter. McConnell’s office released a letter from the US Capitol’s physician stating that there was no evidence of him having suffered from a stroke or seizure. The Senate Republican Leader has been filmed suffering from two ‘health episodes’ in the past few weeks. In both cases the senator appeared to ‘freeze’ and become temporarily unresponsive until he was ushered away by aides. While the physician cleared McConnell of serious illness, he did make mention of a head injury he suffered earlier this year. Despite his recent health issues, most Republicans remain supportive of the powerful and long-serving Senate Republican Leader.
