On Thursday morning protesters arrived at the two sites, Cobham Services in Surrey and Clacket Lane Services, Kent, at 7am, with the first arrests not taking place until after 11am. Some sat down at the entrance to the sites blocking drivers from entering, while others defaced the pumps with orange paint and smashed the clear covering on the price displays.
