Sky News host Cory Bernardi says the Royal Commission into the failed Robodebt scheme paints a picture of a “dishonest and manipulative government”. “It's fair to say that the result is more damning than many would have thought possible,” Mr Bernardi said. “Some would argue the deception and lies were so great that it was borderline criminal. “Labor is, of course, highlighting this abuse by the previous government, and it’s trying to score some political points.” Mr Bernardi said politics is broken and is “no longer fit for purpose”, which is why Australia is going backwards.
