Hero IDF commander sacrifices himself to save wounded comrade in Gaza

A hero IDF paratrooper sacrificed himself to save his trapped comrade in a firefight with Hamas in Gaza. Sergeant-major Uriel Avaid Silverman, 23, from the Kirithi Brigade, took his unit into a house filled with Hamas gunmen in Khan Younis, where a fellow soldiers was being held. They pursued the Hamas terror cell through the building, managing to kill eight militants and rescue the injured soldier. However, Silverman was killed leading his men into battle and three others were hurt.
