Biden sending urgent funding request to Congress for support to Israel, Ukraine

President Biden addressed the nation from the Oval Office for just the second time during his presidency. The commander in chief’s remarks concerned the US response to the conflict in the Middle East and Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. “It’s a smart investment that’s going to pay dividends for American security for generations,” Biden says of the budget request he will send to Congress Friday. Destroying Hamas is Israel’s “first and last priority” Economy Minister Nir Barakat tells ABC News. Barakat vowed that Hamas’ elaborate system of tunnels will become the “world’s biggest cemetery,” many of the terror group’s hostages are believed to be held captive in these tunnels.
