Sudan rescue flights land in Cyprus as British evacuation efforts ramp up

The first flight carrying British nationals evacuated from Sudan has landed at Stansted Airport. Evacuees on board the ZT4820 flight, operated by Smartwings, touched down in the UK shortly after 2pm after departing from Larnaca on Wednesday morning. Around 170 people including children were said to be on the flight.
