Record rainfall in South Western Japan has triggered landslides and flooding, killing at least six people. More than 400 millimetres of rain fell in the City of Kurume on Monday, breaking the city's record for daily rainfall. Thousands of residents were told to evacuate, as the rain ripped out power lines and cut off remote communities. Authorities in Japan said the risk of further landslides remains, with more rain forecasted.
