'Shocking Bodycam Shows Police Officer Laughing At Woman’s Death' An investigation is underway over bodycam footage appearing to show a Seattle Police Department police officer laughing about a woman being fatally struck by a patrol car. Officer Daniel Auderer was called to an incident where 23-year-old student Jaahnavi Kandula, was killed near her university, after being struck by a car going 74mph, and allegedly thrown 30m into the air. In the body cam footage, which was later reviewed “in the routine course of business”, the Auderer is heard laughing and suggesting that the Indian student's life had "limited value" and that the city should "just write a cheque".
