Calls for change to Taiwan’s deadly overwork culture

Taiwan is considering a major change to prevent people from working themselves to death as the country ranks fourth in the world for the highest average working hours. A mandatory four-day week is being proposed as the overwork culture is being linked to mental health issues, falling fertility rates and early deaths.
