Death toll rises in northern Italy floods

The death toll from floods across northern Italy has risen to 15. More than 36,000 people are displaced after the country was battered by some of the heaviest rains ever recorded. Sunny conditions late yesterday proved useful for rescue workers, who ramped up their efforts to assist those affected by the floods.
