Balloons Shot Over Kyiv | Russia's Plan to "Detect and Exhaust" Ukraine Air Defense Without Drones?

Ukraine said that six Russian balloons were spotted over Kyiv and most of them were shot down on Feb. 15. The balloons, which may have been carrying corner reflectors and reconnaissance equipment, triggered air alerts in Kyiv. The Ukrainian Air Command did not specify how many balloons were shot down by its air defences. The spotting of a Russian balloon by Ukraine comes in the wake of such sightings in North America this month. However, this isn’t the first time that Ukrainian forces were engaged by Russian military balloons.
