First rescued Britons land back in UK

The first rescued Britons have landed back in the UK after a heavily criticised evacuation effort from Sudan on the second day of a ceasefire between the country's two warring factions. A war criminal wanted by the ICC and other detained Islamists have escaped from a prison in Khartoum The chartered jet left Larnaca this morning. Downing Street said a total of 301 people have been rescued from Sudan so far.
