Trump skipping first GOP primary debate

The Republican National Committee officially announced the eight candidates who have met their criteria and will be participating in the first 2024 presidential primary debate Wednesday night, notably excluding Donald Trump from the list. The former President announced he would skip the event, which comes one day ahead of when he's expected to surrender to officials at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta for his Georgia election conspiracy case.
