Palaszczuk government more focused on themselves than on Queenslanders: David Crisafulli

Queensland Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has slammed the Palaszczuk government for its response to speculation over Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk's future. Mr Crisafulli's comments come as Ms Palaszczuk has become the subject of speculation about whether she still has the support of the unions and the Labor party room to continue as premier, after enjoying a two-week holiday in Europe with her new boyfriend. Mr Crisafulli said the government’s response shows that they are “more focused on themselves” than on Queenslander. “What’s most disappointing for me is they are all using their energy climbing over each other trying to get the job they want rather than do the job they’ve got,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “In the meantime, Queenslanders become collateral damage; their issues are slipping through the cracks because of a government more focused on themselves than on Queenslanders. “We couldn’t even get the Premier to admit that Queensland is in the grip of a youth crime crisis today; their focus is absolutely everywhere else other than where it should be.”
