‘Luck and skill’: Australian sailor’s survival story lost at sea

Tim Shaddock and his dog Bella were saved by a fishing trawler off the coast of Mexico after his vessel was hit by a storm – leaving them adrift at sea for two months. Ocean Survival Expert Professor Mike Tipton said “it’s a combination of luck and skill and it seems that Tim had both of those.” “He was very dependent on the weather for his fresh water supply, which would’ve been his greatest threat to survival,” Mr Tipton told Sky News Australia.
