'Israel Begins 4-Hour Fighting Pause, But Denies Humanitarian Crisis In Gaza' Israel has agreed to put in place four-hour daily humanitarian pauses in its military operations in northern Gaza, the White House have confirmed. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that the first daily humanitarian pause would begin on Thursday. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that the war in Gaza, which is now in it’s second month will continue until Hamas is defeated. But he asserted Israel has no intention to conquer, occupy or even govern the blockaded territory after the fighting ends. In Israel, at least 1,400 have died, the majority of whom were killed when Hamas militants launched their deadly attack on Israeli towns and a music festival on Oct. 7th. 70% of Gaza’s population have already fled their homes, heeding Israeli orders to go to the southern region. But even there, they face airstrikes and dire conditions, making the search for safety increasingly desperate. More than 11,070 Palestinians, two-thirds of them women and minors, have been killed since the war began, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. An additional 26,905 Palestinians have been injured, with thousands more still believed to be trapped under the rubble of levelled buildings. On Friday, the UN human rights chief called for an investigation into what he described as Israel’s ‘indiscriminate’ bombing of Gaza. But Israeli officials deny that there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza and say aid is still being delivered. Since the outbreak of the war last month, Israel has imposed a strict blockade of Gaza which only lets humanitarian aid through. According to the Israeli authorities, 700 trucks have entered in the enclave from the beginning of the war- a few dozen every day. #Israel #Gaza #humanitariancrisis #news Subscribe here: http://bit.ly/ODNsubs TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ondemandnews Twitter: https://twitter.com/ODN Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ODN/ If you wish to purchase any of our clips for commercial use, please visit: http://www.itnproductions.co.uk/news/
