Queensland nursing and midwifery students to receive cost of living bonus

Final year Queensland nursing and midwifery students will receive a $5000 cost of living bonus if they do their work placement in regional and rural areas. The $22 million initiative by the Palaszczuk government will run for four years with over 1000 students set to benefit. Queensland Treasurer Cameron Dick says he hopes the measure will entice health professionals into the communities.
