Russian forces launched drone attacks and shelled front-line towns and villages in southern Ukraine over the past day and night, Ukraine said. Russia reportedly unleashed Iranian-made Shahed drones on Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts overnight. Ukraine has claimed that nearly 27 residential and infrastructure facilities in 15 towns and villages were damaged in Russian strikes. Meanwhile, Russia has reportedly thwarted assassination attempts on RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan and journalist Ksenia Sobchak. The Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that the attack was prepared by Ukrainian intelligence.
