Childcare centres shut their doors amid worker strike

Around 30,000 families will be impacted as early educators across Australia commence industrial action today. More than a thousand childcare centres will shut their doors as workers in the United Workers Union walk off the job demanding better wages and conditions. A series of rallies will be held in the afternoon, and the union is asking parents to refrain from taking their kids into childcare centres.
