Belarus displayed a military camp it offered Russia’s Wagner Group after a failed “armed mutiny” against the Kremlin in June. The former Belarusian army camp can accommodate nearly 5000 personnel as well as military vehicles. As Prigozhin marched on Moscow on June 24, Syrian officials were concerned that the Wagner mutiny could disrupt Russian military presence in Syria. Syrian authorities reportedly moved to isolate and control Wagner operatives in the country, following the rebellion in Russia.
