Episode 1 NASA's Dirty Secrets; Operation Paperclip, Wernher von Braun & the Santa Susana Field Lab.
Episode One: NASA's Dirty Secrets After WWII Nazi scientists and their missile technology were quietly brought to America. The most prominent of these was Wernher von Braun, who would become the father of the American space travel program. NASA was careful to keep von Braun's dark past a secret, similar to their current efforts to hide the contamination at the Santa Susana Field Lab. One of America's worst nuclear accidents, the Santa Susana Field Lab, was kept as a closely guarded secret in the small town of Simi Valley, California. But the toxic and radioactive waste wasn't the SSFL's only secret. Join us through a series of insane but true documentaries about the Santa Susana Field Lab that Boeing, NASA and the U.S. Department of Energy don't want you to see.
