SpaceX has received clearance from the US Federal Aviation Administration to launch its Starship rocket for a second test flight after being grounded for more than six months as its first launch attempt ended in an explosion. The mega rocket the most powerful launch vehicle ever built is set to lift off at midnight AEDT on Saturday. ANU Astrophysichist and Cosmologist Brad Tucker discusses with Sky News Australia Starship rocket's second test flight. “It's been six months of the redesign of both the rocket and the launch pad because back in April they had that first test flight, the rocket did reach 40 kilometres, they had problems with the rocket separating,” he told Sky News Australia. “They are building up, they are ready to go, will they reach launch time (midnight AEDT on Saturday)… remains to be seen. “Where all hopeful that they do though.”
