A Russian civilian-radar satellite, launched on May 27, can conduct reconnaissance against Ukrainian military facilities, as per reports. A source told Russia’s Sputnik news outlet that the satellite can track the movement of troops, ships, and aircraft of Ukraine. The source told Sputnik that the satellite will also be able to monitor the activities of other countries. The new Kondor-FKA radar satellite will conduct reconnaissance against Kyiv’s military facilities at least twice a day, the Sputnik report said. Roscosmos says the radar satellite will provide round-the-clock all-weather monitoring of the Earth’s continental areas. This is the eighth launch of a Russian carrier rocket this year and the first one from the Vostochny spaceport.
