A title card at :43 introduces the Great Barrier Reef. At 1:16, fruit orchards are shown in the southeast of the island country. At 1:49 fruit is harvested by agricultural workers. At 1:58, fields of wheat are shown. At 2:15 a primitive Case tractor is shown in the fields. At 2:28, the kangaroo "one of the odd varieties of animals found nowhere else but in Australia" is shown. At 2:51 the sheep and cattle industries are shown. At 3:00, herds of sheep are shown. At 3:25 they are dipped to prevent the spread of ticks, and at 3:41 they are trimmed or shorn. At 3:56 males are dehorned. At 4:30, a herd of cattle are shown fording a river. At 5:15, a gold mining operation is shown, and at 5:22, footage of the lumber industry. At 5:44, an aboriginal or "native Bushmen" is shown. The film at 6:00 shows the vastness of the Australian desert. At 6:32 Sidney is shown as well as scenes of Melbourne.
