The Biden administration is trying to establish “guard rails” and put a level of stability under the US/China relationship, says the Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan. “I think it’s just going to keep up the strategic competition but try to have a level of dialogue and management of the day-to-day relationship,” he said. Mr Sheridan’s comments come after the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Beijing. “Blinken’s a very sober, very capable Secretary of State, I think this was a sensible visit – you want to see the two greatest powers on Earth talking to each other.”
