The Federal Trade Commission is investigating ChatGPT over allegations that it harmed consumers by publishing false information. The company behind the highly popular artificial intelligence app, OpenAI, was sent a 20-page letter from the FTC on Thursday demanding extensive records. The San Francisco-based company was given 14 days to comply. It also demanded that the company refrain from altering or destroying any documents in its possession.
