Disasters threaten Manila more than any other city

Because of this, just like in Jakarta, the capital may be relocated to higher, less crowded ground. Unlike Jakarta’s Nusantara though, the main candidate site - New Clark City - is on the same island as Manila, rising about 100 kilometers to the north.
