After giving a speech outlining his position on the Israel-Gaza crisis, pro-Palestinian protestors chanted ‘you’re a criminal’ at Keir Starmer. The Labour leader is facing increasing pressure from his own party to call for a ceasefire. But in his speech at Chatham House, he argued that a ‘humanitarian pause’ was the ‘only credible approach’. Both the Conservative Party and the Labour Party support a pause in the fighting to let aid into Gaza, and to let civilians evacuate. But neither support a ceasefire.
