NATO has said it will send 700 more peacekeeping troops to north Kosovo to control escalating tensions between Belgrade and Pristina. 30 soldiers from a NATO-led peacekeeping force were injured in clashes with Serb protesters in northern Kosovo on May 30. Kosovo has reportedly been expelled from participating in an ongoing American-led military exercise in Europe. Meanwhile, the Kosovo PM said the mayors elected “are the only ones who have the legitimacy to be at the municipal buildings”. However, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said "Albin Kurti alone is responsible" for the disturbances in the town of Zvecan. While both the US and the EU have called for de-escalation of tensions, China and Russia have voiced their support for Serbia, reportedly trying to whip up anti-NATO sentiments in the region. #serbia #kosovo #nato #russia #china 0:00 - Introduction 0:40 - Nato to Send 700 Troops as Tensions Flare Up in Kosovo 1:47 - Kosovo, Serbia Train Guns on Each Other 4:17 - Kosovo Expelled From Nato Exercise 5:21 - China and Russia Fuelling Fire in Kosovo Clash? 6:58 - Will Kosovo Be the Next Big Flashpoint in Europe? n18oc_world n18oc_crux CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
