Russia's assault fighters made a headway in Bakhmut, with Wagner forces leading the fight to capture four more areas in the war-battered city. Nearly 700 Ukrainian troops were killed in a day in different areas along the frontline. The Russian defence ministry claimed that four HIMARS rockets and over 20 drones were also downed in the ensuing battles.
