A quake on Mars was recorded by NASA’s InSight Mars lander last year. It measured 4.6 on the Richter Scale. That’s a mild seismic event here on Earth but it was the largest extraterrestrial quake ever recorded. The seismic waves circled the entire planet several times giving scientists at ETH Zürich a global view of the Martian crust. They say their work could help astronauts pick the best spot to build a base. #nasa #richter #mars #space
