You do NOT need to spend any money in Diablo Immortal to beat the campaign or reach level 60. And you can still win in PvP. In this video, I talk about the power difference you can expect to see in Diablo Immortal between a free to play player and someone who spends money in the game. Ill talk about PvE, PvP, and then what Blizzard can to do address some of the issues with PvP imbalance. I am free-to-play player and I play as a demon hunter in Diablo Immortal. As of today, I am currently Paragon level 14 and my gear is pretty well optimized. If I spent $20, $40, or even $100 on legendary crests and I got stronger gems, would that affect the way I play? The answer is no. Maybe I could push higher challenge rifts, but I don’t really care about being on leaderboards. Even if I was stronger, I would still be doing the same daily bounties as I’m doing as a F2P. So the reason I haven’t spent any money on the game is because I don’t believe it would make me like the game more than I do. I know that I cannot min-max my character in Diablo Immortal as a F2P player and I’m okay with that. I see this as a casual game…a bridge between D3 and D4.
