Brisbane cruise liner sets off on maiden voyage

A new multi-million dollar cruise liner has set off for its maiden voyage this afternoon from its new permanent home in Brisbane. It's hoped the Pacific Encounter will help the recovery of the cruising industry from a tough few years. “Over the next four months, she’ll be taking 24 voyages, many of them are up the Queensland coast,” P&O Cruises Australia’s Marguerite Fitzgerald said.
