Diane Abbott suspended by Labour after suggesting Jewish people do not face racism

MP Diane Abbott has had the whip removed by Labour after suggesting that Jewish people do not experience racism. In a letter to The Observer, Ms Abbott said that Jews, as well as travellers and Irish people, experience 'prejudice' similar to that suffered by people with red hair. Since the letter, Ms Abbott has apologised though said that it was just an 'initial draft'.
