The EU wants to make all packaging recyclable by 2030

The measure could save more than 1 trillion litres of water and cut 23 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. 40% of plastics and 50% of paper in the EU are used in packaging. The average European accounts for almost 180kg of packaging waste every year.
