Rocket Attack Targets US Embassy In Baghdad | 14 Katyusha Rockets Fired Towards Iraq’s Green Zone

Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone housing the US Embassy was targeted with several rockets on December 8. Nearly 14 rockets were fired near Baghdad’s Green Zone, of which three landed on the outskirts of the district housing government and diplomatic buildings. An Iraqi security official said 14 Katyusha rockets were fired, of which some struck near one of the embassy’s gates while others fell into the river.
