In the future, the Sun will expand to become a red giant star, swallowing Mercury, Venus, and even Earth. As the Sun swells, its solar winds will intensify, stripping away the atmospheres of the outer planets. The Sun isn’t massive enough to form a neutron star or a black hole. So eventually, our star will shed its outer layers, leaving behind a hot, dense core called a White Dwarf. This will cast off the remaining outer layers into space, creating a beautiful, ghostly phenomenon known as a planetary nebula. The Sun's death won't be immediate but a slow cooling over billions of years. Eventually, our once vibrant star will fade into a black dwarf, an inert chunk of matter floating in the vastness of space, marking the final, silent chapter of its existence.
