PRO/CON at The Pier - Highlights from the Debate Series

The Arthur N. Rupe Debate Series in LA brings together prominent experts from both sides of important issues with neutral moderators to facilitate the conversations. The series features a DJ set, interactive booths (voter registration, soapbox speeches, voting on the topic, pop-up library, and more), followed by a debate. Controversial topics covered in 2018 included marijuana legalization, rent control, water desalination, for Los Angeles, and abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
