Iran’s ‘morality police’ have resumed their street patrols, cracking down on violations for the country’s mandatory hijab rules. The Iranian authorities have confirmed police patrols would enforce the rule on people who’s covering is deemed inappropriate for the Islamic Republic. The so-called ‘moral police’ are given the power to ‘issue warnings and then introduce those breaking the code to the judicial system’. The women arrested for breaching the hijab rules could be arrested and taken to the controversial ‘re-education’ facilities run by the police.
