The mood among adults regarding the state of the nation remains negative, but feelings surrounding the direction of the country have improved slightly when compared to this time last year. A Gallup poll conducted from May 1-24 showed only 18% of adults are satisfied with how things are going in the United States at this time, while 81% said they were dissatisfied with the way things are going.
