A Jack Wrather production, the Peace Patrol was a U.S. Savings Stamp and Bond program targeted at school-aged children called “Little Savers” that was launched in the late 1950s. After an introduction by Moore, the footage follows the Lone Ranger to Maryland and Washington, D.C. where he is shown at the NIH, meeting with the Director of the Savings Bond Division James F. Stiles and later Vice President Richard Nixon and Postmaster General Arthur Summerfield, before ending with scenes from the inaugural Peace Patrol Rally at the Washington Monument. Clayton Moore appeared in dozens of Westerns and serials in the 1940s and 50s. but it best known for portraying the fictional western character the Lone Ranger on TV and at the movies from 1949 to 1952 and 1953 to 1957.
