Do you have to stop for 3 seconds at a STOP SIGN (Australia)

There is no such a rule as stopping at STOP SIGNS for the period of 3 seconds. This is not a written rule in any states of Australia. This is a strategy created by driving schools to ensure their students really stop, and it's 100% advisable.
