Join Professor Wendy J. Schiller for a discussion around domestic violence and gun safety reform in the United States. Professor Schiller will offer a short lecture on her research, followed by a Q&A moderated by Daniel Poloner ’24, Chair of the Watson Student Advisory Council, and a research assistant on Professor Schiller’s project on this critical policy issue. Wendy J. Schiller is Professor of Political Science, Professor of International and Public Affairs and Director of the Taubman Center for American Politics and Policy at the Watson Institute. She teaches popular courses including, The American Presidency, Introduction to the American Political Process, and Congress and Public Policy. Among her many publications, Professor Schiller recently co-authored a new book titled, Inequality Across State Lines: How Policymakers Have Failed Domestic Violence Victims in the United States. Cosponsored by the Watson Student Advisory Council and IAPA DUG.
