My Truth is... My Truth

"If the God that you serve and you worship, looks like you and acts like you, and believes in the same things you believe... you're not serving Yahweh, you have made yourself God." The world's egotistical approach to wisdom is relative truth. What I believe becomes my own reality. This is a fundamental failure to submit to the God that creates Absolute Truth. At best this is misguided, but at worst it's blasphemy. This can manifest in the Church with pastors who will avoid certain topics because of potential offense, or treat texts of the Bible with indifference, setting the tone of picking and choosing what you want to adhere to. This is all a dangerous and slippery slope.
