FBI arrest Arizona man after link to Wieambilla shooting

The FBI have arrested a man in Phoenix, Arizona after alleging connections between the 58-year-old and several Queenslanders responsible for the Wieambilla murders in December 2022. Stacey, Gareth, and Nathaniel Train were killed during a siege after they ambushed and murdered their neighbour and two police officers in rural Queensland. An Arizona man was taken into custody on December 1 after varying levels of correspondence between the Trains and himself were discovered. A post was reportedly made online by the American which was linked to inciting the violence which commenced in Wieambilla. The FBI are still investigating the motivations of the man, who has been confirmed a US national.
