With household debt at a record high, the Enforcers have never been busier. Cars, electrical goods and cash are taken, but not without a struggle. We witness the officers being verbally and physically assaulted in the line of duty. But it’s an invaluable service. If they don’t collect money for creditors, the knock on effect on other businesses would be catastrophic. The Enforcers also deal with highly organised political squatters, and the traveller and gypsy community.
